Facebook Competition Terms & Conditions

Applies to: the "Like, comment & follow to win 6 months free Premium access" giveaway posted on the Homebrew Hero App Facebook page.

1. Promoter

This promotion ("Competition") is run by the developer of Homebrew Hero, a solo, UK-based developer ("we", "us", "our"), contactable at info@homebrewhero.app. The Competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta/Facebook in any way. Information you provide is provided to us, not to Facebook.

2. How to enter

No purchase is necessary. To enter, during the Promotion Period (see Section 3) you must, on the qualifying post on the Homebrew Hero App Facebook page:

All three actions must be completed and remain in place until the draw (Section 5) for an entry to be valid. One entry per person; multiple comments from the same account count as one entry, not multiple entries. Entries that don't include the exact required comment phrase, or that come from accounts we reasonably believe are fake, duplicate, or automated, may be excluded at our discretion.

3. Promotion period

The Competition opens when the qualifying post is published on the Homebrew Hero App Facebook page and closes at 23:59 (UK time) on 29 September 2026. Entries received outside this window will not be counted.

4. Eligibility

The Competition is open to individuals aged 18 or over. It is void where prohibited by law, including in any jurisdiction where a "like/comment/follow to win" mechanic is restricted. It is your responsibility to check that entering is lawful in your own jurisdiction. Employees or immediate family members of the Promoter are not eligible to enter.

5. Prize and winner selection

There is one (1) prize: 6 months of free access to Homebrew Hero's Power User subscription tier ("6 months free Premium access"), applied to the winner's Homebrew Hero account. The prize has no cash alternative, is not transferable, and cannot be exchanged, sold, or redeemed for cash, in whole or in part.

One winner will be chosen at random from all valid entries on 30 September 2026. The draw will be conducted using a random-selection method applied to the list of accounts that satisfied all three entry conditions in Section 2 at the time of the draw.

6. Winner notification

The winner will be notified by a reply to their qualifying comment and/or a direct message from the Homebrew Hero App Facebook page within 7 days of the draw. The winner must respond and confirm the email address or account associated with their Homebrew Hero App within 14 days of being notified. If the winner does not respond within this window, or is found not to have met the entry conditions in Section 2, we reserve the right to select an alternative winner at random from the remaining valid entries.

The prize will be applied to the winner's account within 14 days of confirmation. The winner's first name and/or Facebook display name may be announced publicly on the Homebrew Hero App Facebook page to confirm the result of the draw, unless the winner asks us not to.

7. Our rights

We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant who does not comply with these terms, to withdraw or amend the Competition (including the closing date or draw date) at any time if circumstances make this unavoidable, and to verify eligibility and entry validity at any stage. Our decision on all matters relating to the Competition, including winner selection, is final.

8. Data

We'll use the Facebook account information visible to us through your entry (your name/profile and comment) only to run and administer this Competition — picking and contacting the winner — and will not use it for other marketing purposes without your separate consent. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data more generally.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your entry into or participation in this Competition, except where that liability cannot be excluded under UK law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from this Competition is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your own country gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts instead.
